Deja Blu plays a brand of blues that sits loosely under the heading of 'Electric Gospel Blues' and could even be categorised as a fusion of 'New Orleans' and 'Chicago Blues' . . . . huh ???? !!

Influences include Walter Trout, Allman Brothers, Taj Mahal, Keb Mo, Colosseum, Matt Schofield Trio, Boneshakers Little Feat, Steve Miller – if that’s a better guide !

Dynamics in the execution of their music as well as the repertoire mix are what the band aims for and, along with a great appreciation of harmony, there’s good humour, an easy synergy and a real enjoyment for what they do.

Deja Blu is a relatively new project and brings together the combination of a guitar and keyboard partnership from the Zimbabwean Blues scene and a solid and reliable Australian rhythm section, fronted by what must surely be one of the most dynamic voices in Perth today !!
