'Twas
the season to be jolly and that's precisely what was happening by the
bucketload at the annual Perth Blues Club Xmas Party, which has fast
gained a reputation as one of the must-go events on the Blues calendar.
It never fails to impress, mainly thanks to the ability of keyboardist
BOB PATIENT to pull together a plethora of talented musicians to form
the SANTA BAND.
Tuesday 4th of October was definitely
something different. The night featured five acts on stage instead of the usual
three.
Fiona Read of the West Coast Blues Club in
Rockingham organised young blues players from all over the country to be flown
in funded by government grants to play a few shows around town before heading
on down to the annual Blues at Bridgetown.
Melbourne based Jaimi Faulkner
left quite an impression on the Perth Blues Club audience with his captivating
performance of Folk/Roots and Blues tunes.
