Hi [FIRSTNAME]

Firstly, welcome to our first eNewsletter. You have been sent this either because you personally subscribed or you gave us your email address when becoming a member.

Because we adhere to the Australian SPAM Act (yes, there really is one), we provide you with the opportunity to unsubscribe at any time, by clicking on your personal subscription link at the end of the newsletter.

Now we've got that out of the way, here's some news for you.

Don’t forget we have a Website (www.perthbluesclub.com), where you can get updates and subscribe to RSS feeds of all the up and coming attractions coming your way at the PBC. If you’re a Jazz fan, the Perth Jazz Society has now joined us at the Charles with a regular Monday night show, and if Comedy is your gig, the Comedy Lounge now meets there every Thursday.

On other fronts, there seems to be no sign of slowing down as we close in on Christmas. We've enjoyed a great evening with the legendary Jody Williams and CD Launches from a couple of local acts, showing you that the Perth music scene - original, that is, not your poppy cover stuff - is growing from strength-to-strength. And it all comes through your Club.

As a patron said a few weeks ago, at an exceptional Lloyd Spiegel gig - “This is the best value for $10 to be had in Perth." - Enough said!!

It's beginning to sound a lot like Christmas

bob_patient_santa.jpg The annual Perth Blues Club Christmas Party will soon be upon us and is destined to be memorable night that showcases some of the best local talent and one or two surprises.

Keyboard virtuoso Bob Patient will don the Santa hat to head up the Santa Band, featuring a cavalcade of local talent - Dave Brewer, Gary Campbell, Kat Kinley, Gerard Maunick, Wayne Freer, Rick Steele, Billy Blissett, Billy Rogers, Matt Taylor and special international guests...

So make a date in your diaries to keep Tuesday 18 December free, and if you are a member of the PBC, this night is FREE entry - just our way of thanking you for your continued support through the year. See you there.

Hans Theessink - exclusive gig @ the PBC

hanstheessink01_72dpi.jpg When Dutchman Hans Theessink takes the stage at the Perth Blues Club on Tuesday 4 March 2008, it will be his only gig in Western Australia, and it should not be missed by any self-respecting blues fan.

Probably Europe's No.1 blues export and one of the top blues and roots musicians worldwide, Hans is embarking on a 30-date solo tour of Australia and New Zealand in the new year to promote his latest CD, Slow Train.

Say hello to our newest volunteers

The Perth Blues Club is delighted to welcome Katy Scott and Jason Culverwell to our busy and growing team of volunteers. The PBC relies on its volunteers and committee, who in themselves are volunteers, for its very existence. Over the next few months, we'll be featuring those volunteers on the website.

Want to know who else is coming to the the Club?
