Through My Eyes - New CD from Rick Steele coming soon

A pair of hand crafted boots, the tinted 'Lennonesque' glasses, the trademark voice, the whiskey town harp, the grand canyon repertoire, he's the son of a preacher man dubbed Perth’s grandfather of blues. He’s about to chalk up 60 years on the planet and on the eve of his 8000th show, Rick Steele isn’t showing any signs of slowing down with the release of his first studio album in almost a decade.
The album is being launched on Saturday 23 February at The Charles Hotel.

The Damon Carron Band launch the new CD Live @ the PBC - Tuesday 22 January
Damon Carron is one of the most electrifying, scintillating guitar
players your ever likely to hear!
With his new CD Magenta in tow, big things
are ahead for Damon. Taking the tried and true honesty of traditional Blues and
injecting it with a contemporary feel and sound, this is the 'real deal' ! Ain't
no doubt about it, this boy can play.
The 11-song, hour-long CD
consisting of six electric tracks and five acoustic. Damon covers the whole
spectrum of Blues/Rock guitar playing.
Highlights include the
blistering 'wah wah' drenched THE SUN IS SMILIN, the haunting DONE WITH TRYIN, the poignant L.B.C. and PRETTY GIRL LEAVIN' BLUES, and with the
industrial swamp rock of the title track MAGENTA, Damon leaves no stone
unturned!
With an array of instruments including Stratocasters, 12-string
acoustic guitar, dobro and bouziki, the interplanetary mellow bar-slide guitar and a
rhythm section to die for - featuring Leroy Cleaver (Drums) and Michael Vdelli (Bass), this is definitely a show not to be missed!

John Meyer back at the PBC
Legendary Perth guitarist John Meyer returns as the main act at the Perth Blues Club on Tuesday 5th February. John doesn't have a website (well not one we've been able to find), but after we scoured the web for information we came across this excellent article by Sue Carter of Groove Magazine.
We hope you enjoy reading the article and that it will inspire you to come along and see John, who will be supported by Kat Kinley.
