Wipe away those New Year Blues

Featuring:

  • Electromen
  • Kyla Brox (Duo)
  • Gearjammer

Tickets Tickets $10 / members $5

English blues chanteuse Kyla Brox makes a welcome return to the Perth Blues Club. Her frequent visits to Australia are seeing this young artist garner a strong following, and teamed up with Danny Blomeley, we look forward to another fantastic performance from this superb singer. On stage 8.30pm

ElectroMen have popped up in various spots on the Perth indie and roots scenes, entering their first band comp in 2004, and won a heat in the Next Big Thing.

Every ElectroMan has been playing gigs all over the joint in bands like The Vibrolators, Dixie Outlaws, Lynwood Slim Band, the Zydecats and The Waifs.

Combining the varied roots, rockabilly and blues sentiments of Hank Deberitz, Captain Kennie Fuller, Yugon Chobanoff and GBN Bushby, with infectious hooklines, swampy jangle and serious crunch, to a backdrop of Bassendean lad Johnnie Briggs' art this band puts on a show. On stage 9.45pm

GearJammer formed in 2005 with the intention of playing good, solid blues & rock. With an extensive repertoire at their disposal, experienced guitarist Drew Haswell and long-time cohort Geoff (ER) Sutton on drums (both ex Ross River & The Fevers) hooked up with Stew (The Word) Herbertson and Hugh (Bedoo) Bartley.

Stew is an accomplished vocalist, guitarist & song-writer (Alluria/Soul Force), and Hugh has played guitar & bass guitar for many years (Girls Toilet/Scizzorman). The collective musical knowledge & ability soon proved that this was to be no ordinary 4-piece combo.

The versatility & depth of experience was demonstrated when GearJammer played their initial gigs - rehearsals became "Do you remember.....??". Tunes that were long gone but not forgotten soon had a new life, and the repertoire grew again. GearJammer play blues, rock, rhythm & blues and all points in between.

They play anything from Cocker to Stones, Purple to Lizzy, Hendrix, SRV & Zeppelin, Crows (Black, not Counting)& Tatts, - hell, they'll play Beatles, Hollies & Berry if you like! On stage 11pm
