Social media and e-promotion
1. Facebook 'Like' and 'Tweet this' buttons
Each of the articles on the website has a Facebook 'Like" button and a 'Tweet' button, plus a number of other social share buttons.
If you have a Facebook™ account, you can click on the 'Like' button and the article gets distributed to your friends via your Facebook wall. This means you can promote various bands/shows and get the message out about the club in a simple way to more people.
The same applies to the 'Tweet' button. If you have a twitter account, simply click the 'Tweet' button and sign in to twitter. The article title and a link will then be sent to your followers.
2. Banner ads
From time to time, we create special Banner Ads for specific events and we'll post them, with the code, on a seperate page. These will link either to details about the event on the PBC website or direct to Ticketmaster to buy tickets.
We also have a number of general banner ads that can be used on websites and in email footers - in fact anywhere online. These will link to the PBC website's homepage.
3. QR Codes
A QR code (abbreviation for Quick Response code) is a specific matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code) that is readable by dedicated QR barcode readers, and smart phones such as Blackberry, iPhone and Android. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded may be text, URL, or other data.
It is a simple way of sending or posting information about places and events as it can lead the user to a website, photo, general text or phone number where they can obtain the details.
