The annual Perth Blues Club Birthday Party is always a great night with a big party vibe. Showcasing the best of our local artists, backed by the inimitable PBC House Band; you can expect to see Bob Patient, Pete Romano, Paul Felton & Billy Rogers and many more. Bob Patient (Keyboards) - 'Cyclone' Tracee (Vocals) - Cyclone Tracee is the stage name for Tracee Morrison. Originally from Denmark, Western Australia, Tracee has been working as a professional entertainer throughout Australia and overseas for nearly twenty years. Respected for her powerful vocals, professionalism and ability to consistently deliver a dynamic stage performance; this little ‘pocket rocket’ has led, and worked with, some of Australia’s leading musicians across a variety of genres including: Jazz, Blues, Rock, R&B, Rock and Roll and Contemporary Pop.
Paul Felton (Guitars) - Pete Romano (Guitars) - Pete, from far north Queensland, started in bands when he was 15, playing in his high school band with the then standard line-up of drums, bass, rhythm and lead guitar. During a stay of several years in Melbourne, he recorded six of his original songs with a band called Elmer Fud, in what was then Studio 31. After playing Sunbury Pop Festival, the band disintegrated and Pete went back to Queensland for a few more cane seasons and countless County and Western cabaret gigs. On arriving in Perth, he joined The Magnificent Seven, but the pull of the Blues was just too much! A couple of years with The Tailgators saw much more roadwork and another recording of his original material. The Gators were formed soon after, and became a regular act at Bike Shows and Bindoon Festivals and of course the Perth Blues Club; of which he is a founding member. Roy Daniel (Bass) - Roy started life in Glasgow, Scotland and as a young lad had the dream of being a famous guitarist planted in his head by hearing the Shadows. Inspired, when about to perform at a party, by a thug guitarist who TOLD him he was now a bass player. He converted and has never looked back. He came to WA in 1963 after living in Ireland and England. In the Blues scene, he is a much sought after session player and has toured with the likes of Kenny ‘Blues Boss’ Wayne, Eugene ‘Hideaway’ Bridges, Johnnie Johnson, Dave Hole and Matt Taylor (to name but a few.) With his 6- string bass guitar, Roy really adds that "feel it in your guts"” sound upon which so much of a band’s overall sound relies.
Ace Follington (Drums) - Ace has over 30 years of drum experience in Australia, the UK and in Europe. He has played with many groups and artists such as Dave Hole, Richard Clapton, Chain, The Hippos, The Bondi Cigars, Johnnie Johnson, Earl King and Charles Cain. Ace has also recorded over 20 albums and cd’s in Australia and the UK. His influences are too many to remember and his drumming abilities are too varied and indescribable to put to paper. It is said that he can guide a band through the ‘valley of the shadow of whoops’, into the light of a perfect roundup without dropping a beat, and the whole time, playing with power and aplomb. Come see for yourself.
Billy Rogers (Saxaphones) - Wayne Freer (Bass, Tuba, Trombone) - |
