Tuesday 4th of October was definitely
something different. The night featured five acts on stage instead of the usual
three.
Fiona Read of the West Coast Blues Club in
Rockingham organised young blues players from all over the country to be flown
in funded by government grants to play a few shows around town before heading
on down to the annual Blues at Bridgetown.
Melbourne based Jaimi Faulkner
left quite an impression on the Perth Blues Club audience with his captivating
performance of Folk/Roots and Blues tunes.
Phil Bennett and John Chopping
seemed like they were in disguise when they appeared on stage dressed in near-matching
clothes as the duo Tumbling Dice, but their faces were immediately
recognisable as band members of the Love Bites and Indigo Duck.
