If you love the sound of Steely Dan or missed the recent Santana gig, do we have the shows for you! Tuesday 27 May sees local band Pretzel Logic take to the stage to perform the legendary music of Steeley Dan. While two weeks later, on Tuesday 10 June, you'll be treated to Soul Sacrifice - the Santana Experience. Pretzel Logic is a special group of musicians who through their mutual respect for great music played by great musicians, have combined talents to create a band dedicated to the legendary music of Steely Dan. Pretzel Logic is the brainchild of well-known Perth musicians, Cliff Lynton and Bob Hawker who were lucky to enlist vocalist Bob Brisbane. Fortunately for Pretzel, Brisbane is completely unknown to Don Fagan otherwise he would probably ask him to join Steely Dan. Steely Dan fans will be treated to their greatest hits performed by an auspicious line up. Don’t miss out on all the favourites, including classic hits like Black Friday, Peg, Josie, Reelin' in the Years, Kid Charlemagne and Rikki Don't Lose That Number. Soul Sacrifice is a seven-piece band with a refined sound and an energy that attracts a fabulous mix of people who enjoy the diversity, rhythms and beats of world music. Most band members are in their 40s, but that did not deter 17-year-old percussionist George Perkins from joining the group and bringing with him a profound respect and understanding for the music of a man who is old enough to be his grandfather. It is easy to see that Perkins, along with the six other band members. have closely studied each piece of music they reproduced, to sound as close as possible to Carlos Santana - the musician they all greatly admire.
