We're delighted to learn that one the the PBC's favourite "New Blood" acts has been awarded 'Best Blues/Roots Act' in the 2016 WAM Awards.

Old Blood is one of the most exciting bands to emerge on the Perth Music Scene. The sensationally fluid guitar work of Edo Ekic coupled with the raw, in your face vocals of Tony Papa-Adams and backed by one of the strongest rhythm sections in town (Shaun Liddell-Jennings Bass and Tyler Ray Michie drums) produces a unique sound that can perhaps be best described as "Grunge Blues".

"We're over the moon to be awarded with 'Best Blues/Roots Act' at this years WAMawards," says frontman and vocalist Tony Papa-Adams.

Long-time friend Peter Heeney had this to say, "Super guy and WAMi Hall of Fame legend Rick Steel receiving his award from his son Jake and daughter Katy. Luke Steele was on large screen and sent a wonderful message to his dad from Los Angeles. What a great night."
