Mason Rack: back with a new CD - Tuesday 20 March

Due to popular demand, the 'Rack' is back, again ...

Originating from the Gold Coast, the Mason Rack Band is not afraid to break all the musical genre rules. The band’s new album, Limits of Grip, does just that, flaunting expectation by combining a classic mix of heavy rock, blues, jazz and roots complimented by the modern flavours of country punk, jazz, alternate rock and reggae funk.

The popular trio is renowned for their amazing live stage performances that frequently spill out off the stage. Punters have been kicking up their heels for years to the drop down percussion beats that involve all three members of the band and the audience.

The Mason Rack Band has played alongside artists including Xavier Rudd, Jack Johnson, Buddy Guy and Keith Urban and are visiting WA in the lead up to tours of Europe and Canada later this year.

If you haven't witnessed their explosive stage show, get on down to the PBC - seeing is believing!

Mason Rack Band will be supported by Banana Theory and Powertrain.

Harp Attack 2012

Harp Attack is an annual celebration of the blues harp and another of PBC’s ever-popular special event nights.
This year’s show on Tuesday 27 March features a phenomenal ’blow-in’ of harmonica players including Moondog Blues Band frontman Moondog J, local all-round performer Chelsea J Gibson, Brad Capper from the Harp Attack Harmonica School, the inimitable Gary ‘Gus’ Collinson, our very own Rick Steele and ‘Diamond’ Dave Billing pitching in to pay tribute to the trusty blues harmonica.
The players will be ably supported by the DooDaddies - featuring Dave Brewer (guitar), Yugon 'Chob' Chobanoff (drums) and John Wilson (bass).
Another of the big draw cards of this event is the free tutorial beforehand at 7.00pm. Each year sees a huge group of budding players all keen to learn from the best.
Participants should bring a C diatonic or C chromatic harmonica, available from any of the professional music stores in and around Perth.

This event is sponsored by Concept Music (WA) and KJ Music (NSW).

Some great prizes on Harp Attack night

Our upcoming Harp Attack night is promising to be another bumper event. Not only do we have the FREE workshop at 7.00pm, but we've also managed to secure some great prizes for two lucky patrons.
