On Wednesday the 14th March and Wednesday the 28th of March 2012, the Perth Blues Club's resident and inimitable soundman Rik van der Velde will be presenting a second series of live sound seminars at the Fly by Night Musician's Club, in Fremantle.

The January seminars were extremely well received, those who were there said: "really inspiring", "immensely educational and informative”, and "great professional insight".

The first of the two seminars (14th March) features DRUMS & PERCUSSION microphone techniques for Live Sound.

Then the second (28th March) tackles TUNING SOUND SYSTEMS for maximum clarity and volume.

Each seminar runs for 3 hours and deals with individual aspects of Live Sound, which makes everyone a complete little mini-course in itself.

Rik van der Velde, is a music lover and professional soundman who has worked with many famous names in his 35 years in the music industry. This is a rare opportunity to pick up some Live Sound Tips and Techniques from a man who has spent most of his life mixing live gigs.
