A sub-project of the Steel Blues Project - known as The Raw Steel Sessions - began on Tuesday 20th March 2012. There have been two Sessions so far with the third on Sunday 29 April 2012.

How does it work?

By invitation only, Perth Blues Club member musicians who have never played together before, come to the Perth Blues Club, and in two hours – completely from scratch – write, rehearse and recorded an original song (music, lyrics, arrangement, the lot). 

This is the most exciting creative project currently taking place anywhere in Australia - and although we've tried, we haven't found anything similar anywhere else either.If you're a musician member, you might be next. If you get the ‘tap on the shoulder’ from someone asking you to a Raw Steel Session, now you know what it's all about.

Raw Steel Session songs recorded so far will be previewed on Sunday 29th April along with an opportunity to watch a Raw Session evolve before your ears..
