A virtual veteran of the Perth singer/songwriter scene at only 22, local songbird Isabel Quigley is poised to release her debut 7 track recording One Night Stand, recorded at Poons Head in 2006 with producer Rob Grant.

Isabel is known to many Perth punters as the charismatic and much loved presenter and performer at the Indi Bar open mic night in Scarborough- which she has helped build into an institution since taking the reigns in 2004.

Described as "...pure crystal voice", Isabel is a highly regarded regular performer at the Perth Blues Club and in recent years has taken the stage at the Lakes Festival, Mojo's Bar, the Swan Hotel, Leederville Hotel, Murdoch and Curtin Uni Bars and the Padddington Ale House.

Isabel's music career started at age seven playing the tin whistle and later the flute in traditional Irish bands at pubs and private functions. At 15, on a family holiday to Ireland, her uncle lent her an acoustic guitar to practise with, heartbroken in having to give it back at the end of the trip her uncle gave it to her to keep. On her return home Isabel then became the youngest student to win her senior school talent quest, playing one of her own compositions and thereby setting her off on her career as a singer/songwriter.

Isabel's poignant writing is awash with glimpses of her own Celtic heritage whilst tipping its hat to blues and folk influences with the odd sprinkling of rock thrown in- she sites Joni Mitchell, Paul Rogers, Billie Holiday, Clannad & Thin Lizzy amongst others.
