Remember the good times? Well, they’re back. Stones flavoured R&B with a twist of rock’n’roll, a dash of blues and a splash of whatever that other ingredient is. Having long since forgotten their vague promise to deliver that fourth chord, Lovebites remain in that magical era when bands got up, kicked it around and just had a brilliant time playing a bunch of songs.

Featuring mighty stalwarts Phil Bennett (singer and piano thumper), Sam Musca (string twanger), Harry Heslin (bass rumbler) and Yugan Chobanoff (drum wacker), Lovebites are a long time PBC fave who will have you rockin’ and rollin’ till everybody gets politely asked to leave at the end of the night.

Lovebites are supported by Moondog (featuring Ben Lawrence) @ 7.30pm and Craig James & the DB Brothers @ 10.00pm.

Entry: $20.00 / $10.00 (members)

Moondog (featuring Ben Lawrence)

Moondog feat. Ben Lawrence. Seasoned Blues traveller Moondog teamed up with up and coming blues guitarist Ben Lawrence from Freo band the Durongs on a recent successful tour of the Midwest and Southern United States. They are now touring WA playing music and sharing stories from Chicago, Memphis, Mississippi and New Orleans. Moondog is a master of the blues harmonica and a formidable one man band when he adds guitar, vocals and foot percussion to create an edgy, driving sound. Ben Lawrence fits in seamlessly with his solid rhythm and groove style which opens up room for Moondog to dive into gutsy lead breaks and smash out some searing harmonica solos.

Craig James & the DB Brothers

Craig James & the DB Brothers is a 3-piece blues band playing original material. The band is new, only six months old but the members have been around for about 25 years with a couple of them having played at the Club previously. Also they have now played together at the Club a couple of times and always a popular act.
